EasyCargo’s newest update brings two major improvements to the manual planning of shipments. Primarily, you are now able to begin planning shipments yourself from the start, removing the need for automatic calculations. Secondly, you have the option to select if items automatically snap to one another, be rotated, or be moved around freely when manually loading.

Multiple Item-pickup: control many items at the same time Martina Krupičková | 19. Jun 2024

In EasyCargo, we have more improvements that will make working with EasyCargo easier and quicker. You may already know that within EasyCargo, you have the ability to manually rotate, remove from the load, or choose where items are placed.

However, it is not until now that you can adjust multiple items at once. Therefore, if you desire to move an entire column of cargo from one location to another, you can. Originally, you had to move each item one by one. This was not the most efficient way of doing things as you might have guessed. This is why, with our new feature, muli-pickup, you can now move entire columns or even sets of boxes. So how does this work, you might ask?

Personalize the speed of your mouse and the zoom Martina Krupičková | 5. Jun 2024

When working with EasyCargo, do you often use a Mac or other device with a trackpad? If so, then this new feature within EasyCargo will make working with EasyCargo much more effortless. As you know, when working with EasyCargo, you can view your 3D load plan in many ways including zooming in, manipulating items, and panning from all sides. Assuming you have used this feature with a trackpad device, you have probably observed that controlling these features can be quite sensitive to movement and it may not be easy to get the exact point of view that you desire.

This is why we have recently implemented the option to adjust the speed of your mouse and the zoom. Each user profile within EasyCargo can make changes to the zoom and mouse speed so it is to their liking, without affecting this setting for other users.

Within the EasyCargo application, you will not find open-top or flat-rack containers in the list of available cargo spaces. However, this is not to say that you cannot load these kinds of containers anyways. With this simple trick, our software will load items that surpass the dimensions of a closed container.

You can load flat-rack or open-top containers in a simple way. Here is what you need to do. First, you will need to choose a container from our list of available cargo spaces. Second, you can change the sizing of your container to the type of open container you want. It’s that simple! Examples of what dimensions need to be adjusted per the kind of container you load are as follows:

There is a new feature added to our  EasyCargo load planning software that allows an automatic archive of all of your shipments. This is especially useful if you have many of them in the Shipments and Reports tab that you can no longer keep track of.

Furthermore, you are now able to view the Shipments Archive through the Shipments and Reports tab. You can see this button at the bottom of the table behind the Import of shipment and Show Autosaved Shipments options.

From now on, you will know which items to load in which quantity and in which step. We've added a legend to the app so you can easily organize each step of the loading process. How does this improvement differ from the “step-by-step” loading report we wrote about in this article? You will find out in the next lines.

As you may already know, the “step-by-step” loading report lets you know the order in which the items are placed in the cargo hold. You can follow the loading process directly in the app using an animation. Simply create a loading procedure and click on the video icon to start the animation.
